How do I recognise genuine ajwa?+
Genuine ajwa is small-to-medium, near-black with fine wrinkles, and the flesh is fine-grained — almost powdery-soft — with restrained sweetness. Overly glossy, syrupy-sweet dates sold as ajwa usually aren't.
Are the pits removed?+
No — ajwa keeps best with pits in, which is how we pack them. They separate cleanly when the date is at room temperature.
