Dates

A great date needs no syrup gloss. We select every lot before packing — ajwa for its restrained, fine-grained sweetness and jumbo medjool for pure caramel indulgence — and pack fresh, which is why the texture feels nothing like year-old supermarket stock.

Dates buying guide

Ajwa vs medjool: choosing your date

Ajwa is small, near-black and powder-soft with gentle sweetness — the traditional daily and fasting date. Medjool is oversized and caramel-rich — dessert in one bite and the best blending date for laddoos and shakes. If you're buying one for the household and one for the kitchen, that's ajwa and medjool respectively.

Why pits stay in

Pitting tears the flesh and starts the drying clock immediately. Whole dates hold moisture for weeks longer, which is why ours ship pits-in. At room temperature the pit slips out cleanly with a squeeze.

Dates as a sugar swap

Blended medjool replaces refined sugar in most home baking cup-for-cup with a deeper flavour and added fibre. Date-walnut laddoos need exactly two ingredients from this store — medjool and our snow-white walnut kernels.

Dates — common questions

How should dates be stored in India?+
Airtight, cool cupboard for 2–4 weeks; refrigerated for up to three months (medjool) or six (ajwa). Bring to room temperature before serving — cold mutes the caramel notes.
Are your dates treated with syrup or glucose?+
No. Both varieties are packed plain — the gloss on a medjool is its own sugar, not a coating. Ingredient lists are one word long.
Which dates are best for Ramzan?+
Ajwa is the traditional choice for opening a fast — gentle, quick natural energy. Many customers keep medjool alongside for iftar desserts. Both ship COD across India.
